Harry Pretorius has gained a reputation for being a forceful and probing cross-examiner in court and because of his reputation as senior litigation attorney with an advocate's right of appearance in the High Court, he has often been requested to handle litigation in court appearances in both the High Court and Magistrate's Courts by other firms and attorneys.

With over 47 years experience in private practice handling complicated litigation of a high calibre ranging from murder trials to commercial claims, Harry Pretorius is well known and respected by judges, colleagues and prosecutors and has sat as a judge's assessor in the High Court.

Except for the occasional use of expert witnesses in a trial, Harry works without being hamstrung by assistants such as secretaries, clerks and the like to avoid any intervening action, insisting instead on direct communication between himself and clients .
